ABOUT IDWEEK 2018


Official programming begins on Wed., Oct. 3 at 1:30 p.m. and ends on Sun., Oct. 7 at 10:45 a.m. Premeeting workshops are offered on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. IDWeek is the combined annual meeting of the IDSA, SHEA, HIVMA, and PIDS, where infectious diseases professionals can meet, share experiences, and develop collaborations for the improvement of patient care and public health.

IDWeek will be held in the Moscone Center, located at 747 Howard Street, San Francisco, CA 94103 from October 3-7, 2018. IDWeek events will also take place in some nearby hotels. The closest airport is the San Francisco International Airport (SFO). It is about thirty minutes from the airport to the center and hotels.

IDWeek 2018 is organized annually.

The association of the IDWeek 2018 is Infectious Diseases Society of America, HIV Medicine Association and The Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America. It will be a leading meeting about Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology and Pediatric Infectious Diseases.

At IDWeek, you will see familiar colleagues and new faces. IDWeek is a forum for health professionals of varied backgrounds to collaborate, cooperate, and learn from each other's expertise. With so many common issues and challenges cutting across our four disciplines, IDWeek provides an opportunity to learn from each other's knowledge, experience and expertise, for the improvement of patient care and public health.

This is an inclusive meeting that offers access to internationally recognized leaders in the field and the opportunity to network with the most highly respected health professionals in infectious diseases, including HIV.
